Player Ratings: McTominay steal the show as Man United score twice in injury time to win 2-1

Here are our Man United player ratings as the Red Devils won 2-1 vs Brentford late on.

Andre Onana – His distribution was good, though the attempt to keep the Jensen shot out of the net was pretty woeful. He isn’t enjoying himself right now… 3/10

Victor Lindelof – Went off with an injury after a pretty poor performance, albeit out of position. It was his failed clearance that allowed Brentford to score. 4/10

Harry Maguire – Started sluggishly, which was expected given his lack of playing time. Grew into the game and picked up an assist. 6/10

Jonny Evans – Played well and used all of his experience to ensure he was always in control of the situation. His teammates could learn from his calmness. 6/10

Diogo Dalot – Continues to look pretty awful in the final third. He did play a hand in the goal as it was his shot that was spilled by the keeper, allowing McTominay to score. 4/10

Casemiro – His poor form continued with a pretty dreadful display. Looked off the pace in every aspect. Gave away the foul that led to the Brentford goal. 3/10

Sofyan Amrabat – Typically worked hard as you’d expect, though wasn’t as dominant in midfield as we’d expect. 4/10

Mason Mount – Had looked good since returning from injury, though this wasn’t the case today. Struggled to influence the match. 4/10

Bruno Fernandes – He was involved typically as United won it late, though his game was pretty quiet in truth. 4/10

Marcus Rashford – Looked disinterested at times. Still looking like he’s lacking the confidence he had last season. 4/10

Rasmus Hojlund – Worked hard and tried to drag his team forward, though offered very little help from the rest of his teammates. 5/10

Subs:

Christian Eriksen – Added that little bit of quality to the attack. A decent sub cameo.

Antony – Nice to see him back out there.

Alejandro Garnacho – The game definitely swung in United’s favour upon his arrival.

Anthony Martial – Held the ball up well and looked sharp.

Scott McTominay – Won the game with a sublime sub cameo. Man of the Match.
