Here are your player ratings from the 2024/25 Community Shield:
Andre Onana – 7
Didn’t have to make a lot of saves during the game and made one from the penalty spot.
Diogo Dalot – 6
Wasn’t at his sharpest today.
Jonny Evans – 5
Not suited to the build-up Ten Hag demands. Shame about the penalty.
Harry Maguire – 7
Solid before getting subbed off.
Lisandro Martinez – 6
Was a bit sluggish at the start but grew into the game.
Casemiro – 9
Was the best player on the pitch. Too early to tell but looked more focused.
Kobbie Mainoo – 6
A bit too safe with his passing, but looked like he was getting up to speed.
Bruno Fernandes – 8
Came alive in the second half.
Mason Mount – 6
Work hard and showed signs of his flexibility.
Amad Diallo – 8
Looks like he’s going to break through this season.
Marcus Rashford – 6
Should’ve buried his chance but was a threat all game.
Subs:
Scott McTominay – 5
Slowed down too many attacks and had a great chance.
Alejandro Garancho – 8
Scored a great goal. Will be exciting to see what he offers on the right for an entire season.
Facundo Pellsitri – 4
Felt a bit sorry for him. Has always looked a bit short physically.
Toby Collyer – 6
Looks like a handy player. Covers the ground well and can pinch the ball.
Jadon Sancho – 4
Was nervous for him before he took his spot kick, which reveals a lot about his fit at United.
Manager:
Erik Ten Hag – 7
There were quite a few positives in that performance and it looks like the energy around the team is much better. He’ll need more players before the window ends but there should be enough against Fulham.
