Our player ratings for Man United’s 2-1 victory over Sheffield United is now in.
Andre Onana – Had a much better game here. Always looked in control of the situation and made some good saves. Fought on after a first-half injury. 7/10
Diogo Dalot – United’s match-winner after a stunning hit. Was inconsistent with the ball at feet at times. Defended well enough. 7/10
Harry Maguire – Deserves credit. Played excellently defensively and his passing was also on point. Looked great. 7/10
Jonny Evans – Also solid. Probably wouldn’t have expected to play so many games already for United but he did his job. 6/10
Victor Lindelof – Started at left-back amid injury crisis. It’s clear he’s far better centrally. 5/10
Sofyan Amrabat – Hit the post when United were dominant. Did struggle with the pace of the game at times. 5/10
Scott McTominay – Set United on their way with a lovely finish. Then gave away a penalty. A mixed evening for the Scotland international. 6/10
Bruno Fernandes – Did pick up an assist for the opener, though it was a pretty poor overall performance from the Portuguese star. 3/10
Antony – Struggled. Attacks seemed to break down when heading down his side of the field. 3/10
Marcus Rashford – Had another quiet game. Confidence looks a little low at the moment. 4/10
Rasmus Hojlund – Wasn’t given the best service on the night. Worked hard. Did have a decent opportunity to score but denied by Foderingham. 5/10
Subs:
Alejandro Garnacho – Threatening.
Christian Eriksen – Looked so calm on the ball.
Mason Mount – Not enough time to mark.
Anthony Martial – Not too involved.
Raphael Varane – Brought on to help see the game out.
