Plans for United star to be unveiled as blockbuster new signing this Saturday as £40m exit is set to be agreed – report

Chelsea have seemingly found breakthrough in their efforts to sign Alejandro Garnacho.

Chelsea have been monitoring Garnacho since January. Ruben Amorim dropped the Argentine winger from his matchday squad for the Manchester derby in December, raising question marks over his long-term future at Old Trafford.

At the end of the campaign, the United head coach told the 21-year-old to find a new club in front of his teammates, handing the Blues a major boost in their pursuit.

Chelsea nearing Garnacho agreement

Since then, Chelsea have been in the driving seat for his signature, with Garnacho showing reluctance to leave the Premier League.

Earlier today, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming the London outfit are expected to finalise a deal for him after agreeing to sell Christopher Nkunku to AC Milan.

The Argentina international, who joined United’s academy from Atletico Madrid, is likely to move to London “in a deal worth up to £40m.”

Chelsea make unveiling plans for Garnacho

According to TBR Football, United have informed Garnacho that he can “officially” talk to Chelsea, as the two clubs are nearing a full agreement, having been locked in talks this week.

The report claims the blockbuster summer deal is now “close to completion”. Chelsea believe this is a “great deal for them.”

It is understood Enzo Maresca’s side hope to unveil Garnacho at Stamford Bridge before their clash against Fulham on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Garnacho has “some sadness” about how things have turned out at Old Trafford, but he is relishing the opportunity to rejuvenate his career at Chelsea.

Last summer, Jadon Sancho also left United for Chelsea to rediscover his form. After an underwhelming spell, the Englishman returned to Manchester, and is now looking for a new club.

Garnacho is viewed as his potential replacement on the left wing in Maresca’s setup.
