PL star’s move to United under threat as European giants make €12 million offer, player wants move – Di Marzio

Manchester United risk losing out on another target as AC Milan make bid for Brighton and Hove Albion star.

Focusing on other areas

The Red Devils finally made their hotly-anticipated third bid for Bryan Mbeumo yesterday and are still awaiting a response from Brentford.

They still have a striker on their list with Benjamin Sesko and Ollie Watkins both reportedly keen to make a switch to Old Trafford.

Even goalkeeper and midfield have been positions discussed at length this summer as Ruben Amorim intends to bolster his squad.

Pervis Estupiñán links

Therefore, reports of interest in Brighton and Hove Albion’s Pervis Estupiñán surprised as he is a left back.

United recently signed Patrick Dorgu in January and Diego Leon has arrived this summer from Paraguay, meaning it is hardly a priority position.

Nonetheless, the move has been described as a “dream” for the Ecuadorian and he would certainly be keen on a move.

AC Milan step up interest

While United have not done much else but express interest, other teams are stepping up their pursuit of the 27-year-old.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that AC Milan have made a €12 million offer for the Brighton player.

Nonetheless, Milan’s offer is considered too low as “the English club’s valuation is significantly higher.”

Di Marzio does have some positive news for the supporters of the San Siro club as he states, “despite the gap in valuation, AC Milan can count on the player’s willingness, as he is reportedly fascinated by the idea of wearing the Rossoneri jersey and has already made it known that he wants to move to Milan.”

Super-agent Jorge Mendes “is working to lower Brighton’s asking price and ensure the deal is successful” and the full back’s desire to move to Italy could prove pivotal in the end.

Proud owner of such niche shirts such as Kleberson, Eric Djemba-Djemba and Gary Neville. Grew up pretending to be Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the back garden, with little success.
