The owners plan to show their ambition by repeating their Branthwaite trick when United come calling in the summer. “Having asked around to Everton sources, my view is that this could play out very similar to Jarrad Branthwaite where anyone going for Ndiaye,” Jacobs revealed. “Manchester United or another team may push and push and push and push and actually Everton’s ambitious owners may do exactly what they did with Jarrad Branthwaite and refuse all offers.” United do have Yan Diomande on their radar as well, but Iliman Ndiaye represented a Premier League-proven option.
