A head-turning statistic surrounding the production of Leeds United wide-man Raphinha over the early months of the campaign has come to the fore online on Sunday.
Barnes levels things up Marcelo Bielsa’s men are of course currently locked in action.
After steadying the ship courtesy of four points secured from an available six over the last couple of weeks, the Whites welcomed Leicester City to Elland Road, aiming to build on their encouraging recent form.
And, as things stand on Sunday afternoon, Leeds are in position to pick up another credible point.
The hosts took the lead in the clash with 26 minutes on the clock, when star man Raphinha’s devilish set-piece delivery from the right made its way beyond everyone and in at the back post.
Remarkably, though, Leeds’ advantage lasted less than 60 seconds, as a stunning Harvey Barnes effort just moments after Leicester got proceedings back underway ensured that the two sides headed in at the interval on level terms:
Leeds were in front for all of and they spent most of that time celebrating.
After Raphinha’s opener, Harvey Barnes struck back with an absolute from kick-off.

Raph shining As outlined above, meanwhile, on the back of the opening 45 minutes at Elland Road coming to a close, an altogether noteworthy statistic, surrounding the scorer of the hosts’ opener, has since come to the fore online.
As per the reliable OptaJoe, highlighting Leeds’ considerable reliance on key man Raphinha is the fact that no player plying his trade for a Premier League outfit to have found the net on ten or more occasions has managed a higher percentage of his side’s goals than Raphinha to this point in the campaign.
45% – Raphinha has scored 45% of Leeds’ goals in the Premier League this season (5/11); the highest percentage for a player whose team have scored 10+ times in the competition. Talisman. pic.twitter.com/cvjNBOmaeK
