Picture: Man United star all smiles after being named February 2024 Premier League Player of the Month

Rasmus Hojlund has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for February 2024.

Manchester United had a pretty solid February, all things considered. Erik ten Hag’s side had to contend with injuries galore, though they continued to rack up the Premier League points – until their final game of the month.

That match came against Fulham. Rasmus Hojlund was missing through injury. Coincidence? I think not. The Dane truly came into his own during that month and losing him through injury was a massive blow.

However, his absence for that game did not cost him a nomination for the Premier League Player of the month award.

Today, it was confirmed that Hojlund had actually won the award, with an 88-rated EA Sports FC card heading his way after some stellar performances.

As you can see from the photo below, the young man was all-smiles collecting a trophy that he will hope will be the first of many at his beloved Manchester United.

When Hojlund wasn’t scoring goals before the turn of the year, not many Manchester United fans were worried. That alone tells you everything you need to know about his quality. He was a joy to watch even when not hitting the back of the net.

Now, the goals are flowing and we’re starting to see a real gem of a footballer. Sadly, the injury came at the worst possible time, but he has been starting matches ever since breaking into the first-team and it was inevitable that he’d pick up a problem as a result of playing so many games.

I just hope that upon his return, Hojlund can end the season strong and continue to show just how great he is. The Dane is a player you can absolutely build a team around for the next decade.

Congratulations, Rasmus!
