This is not a drill. Lisandro Martinez is back in training ahead of Man United vs Wolves in a couple of days’ time.
Manchester United Football Club take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, with the Red Devils looking to continue their forward momentum under Erik ten Hag.
A decent 3-0 victory at home to Nottingham Forest was undoubtedly good for confidence, with another must-win match on the horizon.
This United side has been built from the back. Clean sheets are now starting to flow, with the gaffer set to get Lisandro Martinez back available for selection here.
The Argentine international (and now World Cup winner), was back out there on the training pitches both Wednesday and Thursday, prepping for his return to the team (potentially in this match against Wolves).

Make no mistake about it, the one they call ‘Licha’ has been just superb. After slipping up in that Brighton game early on in the season, Martinez simply hasn’t put a foot wrong since – for both club and country.
The ex-Ajax man was forming quite the partnership with Raphael Varane at the heart of defence before the Frenchman picked up an injury. The two looked in complete sync with one another. Hopefully, that will continue to be the case when they re-partner again.
What’s crazy is that United now have two World Cup-winning centre-halves as their first choice. It’s no surprise that the pair are keeping clean sheets on a consistent basis when partnered together.
The only thing I’d be cautious about is rushing Martinez back into action too quickly. Though no doubt he’s chomping at the bit to play and ready to do his bit.
