Picture: Huge opportunity for insanely talented United starlet as he trains with England first team

Talented Manchester United starlet Shea Lacey took part in training with the senior England team, it has now emerged.

Lacey destined for greatness

Tipped as perhaps the best young player in United’s youth ranks, Lacey is thought to be closing in on his first-team debut for the club.

He has experienced a rapid rise through the ranks at United, frequently earning comparisons to Manchester City’s Phil Foden. Like Foden, Lacey boasts a slight frame and is comfortable playing both out wide and in more advanced central areas.

Despite injuries briefly stalling his rise, Lacey has continued to impress with his exceptional dribbling, spatial awareness, and dazzling combination of footwork and skill.

He has been a regular participant in first-team training sessions and earned his first taste of senior football during United’s post-season tour of Asia in May.

For this month’s international break, Lacey received a maiden call-up to the England Under-20s squad.

England are set to take on Switzerland at St George’s Park on Friday and Lacey will be in contention to feature after his impressive performances at club level.

However, it seems he has attracted the interest of England boss Thomas Tuchel, who invited him to train with the first team on Wednesday.

Lacey trains with England senior team

Daily Mail journalist Nathan Salt first wrote on X, “Shea Lacey got to train with England’s senior team today.”

“Deserved recognition and a chance to impress Thomas Tuchel and his staff in a rare England first team training session.”

A picture of Lacey has emerged, depicting the 18-year-old in the company of players like Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice, both of Arsenal.

Brilliant opportunity this for Lacey around such high-level internationals #mufc

It’s a huge step for Lacey in his career and one that he’ll be hoping will push him more towards first-team football at Old Trafford.
