Picture: Agent of United star fuels speculation over player’s exit in latest social media post

The agent of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho has confirmed his attendance for Chelsea’s meeting at Stamford Bridge with Wolverhampton Wanderers, even as his client continues to be linked to the Blues.

Garnacho’s future at United has become increasingly uncertain after it was revealed that no player at the club is untouchable ahead of a squad rebuild under Ruben Amorim.

Antonio Conte’s Napoli appear to be showing the strongest interest in Garnacho, with the youngster being tipped as a potential replacement for the departed Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

While United are not actively looking to sell Garnacho, the club could be tempted to cash in if they were to receive a huge offer.

A sum of around £60million has been mentioned and the Red Devils will under no circumstances agree to a cut-price deal.

Last week, it emerged that Chelsea had opened talks over the possibility of signing Garnacho. This was also confirmed by David Ornstein, who relayed that Enzo Maresca’s side made enquiries about the Carrington academy graduate.

More recently, a report covered by The Peoples Person claimed that Chelsea made “direct contact” with the Red Devils to ask about the conditions of a deal.

Garnacho’s agent has added fuel to the fire after he posted an image of himself in attendance for Chelsea’s game against Wolves on Monday evening.

The United star’s representative took to Instagram, confirming his presence at Stamford Bridge.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, “Both Carlos Cambeiro and Quique De Lucas from Alejandro Garnacho’s Lead3rs agency are at Stamford Bridge this evening.”

“Garnacho one of the options Chelsea are considering.”

It might amount to nothing in the end, but the timing of Cambeiro’s social media post has only fueled speculation about Garnacho’s potential move to the London outfit.

However, if the Italian press are to be believed, Garnacho could be on the brink of joining Napoli. The 20-year-old’s transfer situation is one to keep a close eye on ahead of deadline day on February 3.

United are back in action on Thursday when they face Rangers in the Europa League.
