There could be a double dose of good news for Manchester United on the injury front.
Manchester United supporters expected the worst over Rasmus Hojlund and Leny Yoro when the pair got injured against Arsenal.
And those fears were confirmed when the true injury extent was revealed, with Yoro set to face three months out and Hojlund six weeks.
Another match followed against Real Betis, and a couple of concerns subsequently emerged.
Marcus Rashford and Antony situations
Marcus Rashford hobbled off after a poor challenge in the second half, although after the game the striker did not appear to be in pain.
Antony was substituted late, despite coming off the bench himself, and seemed to react with frustration amid concerns he too was injured.
Erik ten Hag spoke about Rashford and Antony in his press conference, although gave little away.
A bigger clue came in United’s training session out in the US, with the team preparing to face Liverpool.
Marcus Rashford was spotted with Jadon Sancho and Aaron Wan-Bissaka doing recovery work on the exercise bikes.
While Antony was seen in full training, with a little strapping on his right wrist, indicating a minor problem he is dealing with there – but not enough to keep him out of full training.
United may still tread cautiously in the upcoming game with Liverpool, especially in Rashford’s case.
Antony could push to play, he will be eager to try and stake his claim on the right wing, amid Amad’s sparkling form.
Generally speaking, the outlook appears positive on both players, who should both be eligible to play in next week’s Community Shield.
