Photo: Sergio Reguilon pictured in Manchester United training for the first time

Sergio Reguilon has been photographed in Manchester United training for the first time since his move from Tottenham Hotspur.

United are back in action this afternoon with Erik ten Hag taking his side down to North London take on Arsenal.

Fans are really looking for United to turn in an improved performance after an unconvincing start to the season.

Friday’s busy deadline day has at least raised spirits with United ending up securing four signings.

Altay Bayindir, Sergio Reguilon, Jonny Evans and Sofyan Amrabat are all on board, bolstering Erik ten Hag’s squad.

Amrabat won’t be available for the trip to Arsenal but the other three signings will – and that means a return to North London for Reguilon.

The Spanish left back has come in on loan until the end of the season following Luke Shaw’s injury.

There appears to be a break clause in place which could see Reguilon return to Tottenham in January, once Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are back.

Reguilon will be desperate to impress though, having struggled for playing time on loan with Atletico Madrid last season.

MORE UNITED STORIES

United have now posted a photo of Reguilon in training at Carrington ahead of today’s game with Arsenal.

Ten Hag confirmed on Friday that Reguilon had been in training with United even before confirmation of his move from Tottenham.

The first picture of Reguilon training with United has now emerged with the official Instagram account noting that he was ‘sharpening up’ ahead of the Arsenal clash.

Diogo Dalot may still start at left back

Reguilon has been put through his paces after joining United but starting him today would still be bold.

Firstly, the Spaniard has only just met his new teammates and there would be a lack of familiarity in such a big game.

Then you factor in that Reguilon barely played for Atletico last season and is bound to be very rusty at the moment.

Diogo Dalot started at left back against Nottingham Forest last week and will surely play there again today.

Maybe Bukayo Saka cutting in onto Dalot’s strong side is something United can actually benefit from this afternoon.

Reguilon will get his chance soon enough but his return to North London will surely start on the bench.
