Paul Pogba might have told Manchester United to sign France teammate Aurelien Tchouameni after he hailed the Monaco star as an ‘extraordinary’ player.
Man United are expected to sign a defensive midfielder in the January transfer window or at the end of the season.
Several names have been linked with moves to Old Trafford in the summer including Aurelien Tchouameni, who currently plays for Monaco.
The 21-year-old has attracted interest from top European giants, with the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid monitoring the Frenchman.
Pogba paired alongside Tchouameni in the midfield on Sunday as France came from behind to beat Span 2-1 in the Nations League final.
The Manchester United midfielder has praised Aurelien Tchouameni and insisted that he would love to play more games alongside the youngster, who he described as a ‘man’.
Asked about his France team-mate following the Nations League win, Pogba told RTL: ‘Very, very good. He’s [Aurelien Tchouameni] not a boy, he’s a man.
Paul Pogba heaps praise on Aurelien Tchouameni ‘It’s a pleasure to play next to him. He brings a lot of energy. A lot of energy, extraordinary technical and physical quality.
‘We wish him to play a lot more games and that I am always by his side.’
Juventus are also reportedly showing interest in the Frenchman, who was named the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year last season and was also picked in the Ligue 1 Team of the Year.
