Paul Pogba could have played last game for Manchester United

Paul Pogba may have played his last game for Manchester United, with the club unsure if he will pull on the red shirt again following news that he’s set for up to ten weeks on the sidelines.

The Frenchman was forced to pull out of international duty after sustaining a thigh injury in training and scan results have shown he could be out for a minimum of two months.

Pogba is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and he’s free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from January 1st – when he’ll still be sidelined with the injury.

Should Pogba do so, The Sun claim United could consider freezing him out entirely and that means he could have played his last game for the Red Devils.

United had hoped to extend Pogba’s contract but negotiations have been halted in recent weeks as little progress was being made with his agent, Mino Raiola.

Pogba has been left out of the side in recent weeks and he was due to miss the game against Watford after the international break as he’s serving the third match of a three-match ban following his red card against Liverpool in October.

United are said to be ‘fed up’ with the circus around Pogba and while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rates the midfielder, the club feel Raiola is a distraction.

Pogba will have no shortage of suitors in January, particularly as clubs will not need to pay a fee to sign him.

Juventus are the current favourites to re-sign the midfielder, while Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested.
