Official: Man United’s international captain signs on loan for high-flying Championship club

Manchester United youngster Toby Collyer has finally resolved his future. United career Collyer joined Manchester United from Brighton and Hove Albion in 2022. He has also captained England at various youth levels throughout his career. He made his senior debut in 2024 under Erik ten Hag in the Community Shield against Manchester City. Collyer also gained some minutes under Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim last year, playing in 13 matches for the Red Devils. Loan move In the summer, he was sent out on loan to West Bromwich Albion. Nonetheless, injury and a lack of minutes resulted in the club calling him back early from his temporary stay in the Midlands. There were significant reports that Hull City were closing in on a move for Collyer, with the club’s boss even commenting on a potential move earlier this month. He claimed, “It’s been a while coming. I know there was interest and a possibility in the summer, but now I’m really happy to have been able to make it happen in this window. The Championship is different to the Premier League – it’s hectic but I like it. You face challenges every day in training and in matches and it’s a great league to get better.” Collyer also asserted that “I’ll always work hard for the badge and for the fans” and that he dreams of playing consistent minutes, something he could not achieve at West Brom.
