New Manchester United boss Ralph Rangnick sent James Garner message after Nottingham Forest goal – Nottinghamshire Live

Manchester United fans have been sending plenty of praise towards James Garner following another impressive performance while on loan with Nottingham Forest.

The 20-year-old is on loan with the Championship outfit until the end of the season and is enjoying his time at the City Ground.

Garner joined the Reds during the summer having had a successful six month spell with the Championship side last year in which he scored four goals in 20 appearances.

This season he has scored once as he netted against Peterborough to help Steve Cooper’s side extend their unbeaten run to seven matches in the league.

Garner, who is contracted to United until 2022, has made seven appearances for the Red Devils, and fans are hoping that newly-appointed interim manager Ralph Rangnick is keeping a close eye on the talented midfielder.

@TravisHighback: Wouldn’t mind recalling garner in January, I think he could do really well with Fred in this system.

@1999CampNou: I don’t know what that’s worth but Bernard, Garner, Laird have not stopped playing during their current loan in the Championship! Weren’t we looking for new blood in at least two of their positions, maybe all three?

@AlexMorley1: James Garner needs to be in that #mufc first team squad next season. Had a storming 18 months at Forest.

@RichBream82: James Garner is ripping it up at Nottingham Forest. One goal and an assist against Peterborough United.

@dr00ni: Still wondering why we let him go with our midfield problems.

@mufc_Corecion: Send McTominay and recall this lad.

@AmBigSerge: Looking forward to seeing him back in a United shirt some time soon.

@utd_thoughts: Are you watching Ralf?
