The 19-year-old has been brilliant for the Dutch since he made his debut in the 2018/19 season. However, his contributions really came to the fore last campaign as he contributed to 8 goals in 32 appearances in Ajax’s league triumph.
Hence, the youngster has caught the attention of several European clubs, including 13-time Premier League champions Man United. Moreover, his contract was set to expire in 2023, and he would only have had one year left on his contract next summer.

“I am very happy at Ajax, and I don’t yet want to leave. I am in talks with the club about a new contract. Things are progressing, and hopefully, they will turn out well.
“I do not feel like this is my last season with Ajax. I feel that I can still learn a lot here, and I still want to win a lot of trophies with the club.”
