Rules on disease control measures in ski resorts have been changed and now more people can be in the country’s ski resorts or half of the maximum number of guests allowed. A restaurant is also allowed in the ski resorts. This is stated in rules issued by the Epidemiologist, the Association of Ski Resorts and the Association of Icelandic Municipalities this morning.
The police in Northeast Iceland publish the rules on their Facebook page. They state that ski resort managers may receive half of the calculated maximum capacity of each area. There must be increased monitoring of the number in each area and if it looks like the number has reached a maximum, information will immediately be published on the ski resorts’ information media and access to the area will be temporarily closed. Children born 2005 and later are not included in the number. The two-meter rule will remain in force at ski resorts as elsewhere.
