Manchester United forward D’Mani Mellor has joined Salford City on loan for the 2021/22 season.
Mellor, 20, is a product of the club’s Academy and has been at United since the age of eight.
D’Mani Mellor trained with the first team at Carrington recently.
The forward made his first-team debut in the Europa League clash with Astana in 2019 and will now benefit from more senior football under the Ammies manager, Gary Bowyer.
He will be hoping to impress and receive regular game-time with Salford, who finished eighth in League Two last season, when Reds defender Di’Shon Bernard enjoyed a spell on loan.
The Manchester-born youth product captained United’s Under-23s in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea. He wore the armband again on Tuesday night in the Reds’ narrow Papa John’s Trophy defeat to Lincoln City.
Everybody at United would like to wish D’Mani the best of luck this term as we follow his progress at the Peninsula Stadium.
