Manchester United and Liverpool appear to be out of the running for Kingsley Coman, who will sign a lucrative deal with Bayern Munich. Manchester United have made signing a midfielder their top priority this summer, with Declan Rice reportedly at the top of their wishlist. United are preparing a summer bid for Rice but would be expected to spend £100m+ to secure him. West Ham had a disappointing December and have given United a significant boost in their hopes of signing Rice.

United are reportedly also in talks to sign free agent Dan-Axel Zagadou from Borussia Dortmund.

United are ‘dead set’ on bringing in Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves this month. Neves is one of several players United have scouted whilst searching for a new midfielder. This January, United will have to compete with Chelsea for Neves.

Despite initial plans, Ralf Rangnick appears unable to lure Erling Haaland to Manchester United. Manchester United has dropped out of the race to sign Haaland in the summer, believing he has already decided to join Real Madrid.

As speculation continues, Haaland has reportedly been told by his club that he must decide his future by the end of January. United manager Ralf Rangnick is reportedly in contact with Erling Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge, attempting to sign the Dortmund striker. Real Madrid is a solid contender to beat Manchester City and Manchester United to the signing of superstar Haaland.

The agent of Manchester United target Julian Alvarez is reportedly on his way to the UK for a transfer meeting. United is willing to pay the £16.8 million release clause to sign Alvarez this January, having beaten Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan to the 21-year-signature. Old’s United has been linked with a move to sign River Plate’s Alvarez.

Barcelona is reportedly trying to entice Anthony Martial away from Manchester United by offering Ousmane Dembele a swap deal.

Charlie Cresswell, a Leeds youngster, has piqued the interest of Manchester United and Liverpool.

Jose Mourinho is attempting to derail Manchester United’s pursuit of Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara and persuade him to join Roma instead. United is in advanced talks with Marseille midfielder Kamara. Kamara is one of several players United has been considering searching for a new midfielder.

It was reported on the Vietnamese sports platform Vwin99 that United has a backup plan in place if Edinson Cavani leaves next month, with the club reportedly eyeing Mauro Icardi.

Interim United manager Ralf Rangnick is interested in four German wonderkids: Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen, Luca Netz of Borussia Monchengladbach, Eric Martel of RB Leipzig, and Armel Bella-Kotchap of Bochum.

Chris Armas’ arrival at United could help the club’s pursuit of RB Leipzig star Tyler Adams, with whom he previously worked for three years at the New York Red Bulls.

Ralf Rangnick will reportedly receive an £8.5 million bonus to persuade Haaland to join United. Rangnick could receive up to £100 million in January to bolster his squad. United believes that the impending arrival of Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford will give them an advantage in the race to sign Haaland next summer.

According to reports, Manchester United is interested in signing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. He is ‘almost certain’ to leave Lazio this summer due to his feud with Maurizio Sarri and was previously linked with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Real Madrid.

Amadou Haidara, a target for Manchester United, had revealed that he was a fan of the Premier League club when he was younger. Ralf Rangnick wants to bring RB Leipzig midfielder Haidara to Old Trafford, but the Bundesliga club is concerned about a contract release clause. If United pays his £32 million release clause now, Haidara will become Ralf Rangnick’s first signing next month.
