Solskjaer ‘very happy’ with business Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed his delight with the business done by the club so far this summer.

In addition, Real Madrid centre half Raphael Varane is due to sign after quarantining in the UK and the Norwegian has publicly addressed the situation speaking of his positive thoughts regarding the Frenchman’s signature.

“Very happy we’ve managed to get a deal with Real Madrid. The medical should hopefully be OK and he’s a proven winner. He’s a player we’ve followed for many, many years,” the manager said.

Luke Shaw’s new deal Whilst the players are coming in the current squad is also in the process of being tied down.

Man United want to extend the contract of left-back Luke Shaw after a great season for both club and country.

Despite England’s failure to win the Euros, Shaw’s contribution both directly with a goal in the final and assists from crosses were integral to Southgate’s tactics.

Shaw has experienced a mixed career with United, blighted by injury. However, looks set to reach his prime in the best form.

His current deal is reportedly around the 150,000 pound per week mark but would be set for an increase and extension beyond the present 2023 expiration date.

10 players up for sale to raise funds With both incomings and extensions, United do want to raise funds to replenish the financial sheets.

As many as a reported 10 players could yet leave the club this summer.

According to ESPN via the Express, United are open to selling: Jesse Lingard, Brandon Williams, Anthony Martial, Diogo Dalot, Phil Jones, Alex Telles, Andreas Pereira, Daniel James and Axel Tuanzebe.

Notably Lingard spent a brilliant 6 month loan with West Ham increasing his value greatly. Dalot too was successful in his time with AC Milan in Serie A.

Anthony Martial though was brought in for big money and would likely not break even with a sale fee. The others are certainly surplus to requirements and Solskjaer could promote from within, having invested in the likes of Amad Diallo.
