There are only five days left in the transfer window and they are set to be quiet for Manchester United.
A lack of player sales this summer means United have been unable to free up more room in the budget following their £116million outlay on Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, so no more arrivals are expected as a result before the August 31 deadline.
Solskjaer confirmed that stance yesterday but remains pleased with the club’s business.
“I don’t think much is going to happen,” the manager told Norwegian journalist Arilas Ould-Saada.
“If something happens, it is a bonus. You never know what happens in the world of football. But we’ve had a very good window. I am happy with what we’ve done.”
One huge transfer that could still happen, however, is the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester – though to City and not United.
With Harry Kane staying at Tottenham this summer there is a chance that the Blues could attempt to bring Ronaldo to the Etihad in what would be a sensational move.
