Ronaldo returns to Manchester United Cristiano Ronaldo would, of course, make his long-awaited return to Manchester United over the summer.
With Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane all arriving in one window, expectations were set understandably high on the red half of Manchester.
However, for the most part, Man United have since failed to deliver as a squad.
But Ronaldo himself has continued to showcase his extraordinary talent on the biggest stage.
CR7 was a passenger during the Red Devils’ 5-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool and was similarly quiet last weekend when Man United lost 2-0 to cross-town rivals, Manchester City.
However, the Portuguese played a key role in United’s 3-0 win over Tottenham and has been key to United’s success in Europe this term.
His latest European heroics, meanwhile, saw the Portuguese score a brace vs Atalanta in the Champions League to secure a valuable point on the road.
Avram Glazer makes Cristiano Ronaldo blunder Ronaldo, of course, previously honed his craft at Man United between 2003-2009 before making the switch to Real Madrid.
CR7 helped United win the Champions League and picked up his first of five Ballon d’Ors whilst under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson.
However, Ronaldo has now left United owner Avram Glazer pretty red-faced recently.
Avram Glazer would speak about Ronaldo in a recent speech. But, when doing so, he claimed that Ronaldo joined Manchester United when he was 16 years of age:
“Cristiano Ronaldo joined us when he was 16 years old – from the day he joined Manchester United, he was the first person at practice and the last person to leave practice.
“Great athletes are not just born great but they have to work extra hard and they try their best, you have to be as focused as possible and try to achieve what you can achieve.”

However, the forward would actually not link up with the Red Devils till he was 18, joining the Manchester outfit in 2003 for a reported £12.24m.
