Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has spoken out against Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola.
The controversial super agent Raiola has represented Pogba throughout his career, and is said to have a strained relationship with United
Pogba is out of contract at Old Trafford this summer, and there is a risk the World Cup winner could be allowed to leave the club for free this summer.
The Frenchman made a sensational return to the club after spending four years with Juventus from 2012 until 2016. He was signed for a record-breaking fee of around £90million.
And while he has had good moments with United, he has been largely inconsistent which has frustrated some United fans.
Entering his final year of his contract this year, his agent has dropped hints that Pogba would like to leave the club this summer. Understandably, Raiola’s tactics have seen him make little friends in Manchester, with many pundits, players and fans speaking out against him.
And one of those has been former United defender Evra, who played alongside Pogba during his career.
Speaking to Mail Online, Evra jokingly said: “I’ve told him I’d like to punch his agent.
“He makes him look bad. Paul does not feel love at United. The ex-players hate him.
“Some fans don’t like his lifestyle so they hate him. I am not defending him just because he is like my little brother, but people are harsh on him. Paul is just a player in that team. He is not United.”
Pogba will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club this January – with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and PSG all reportedly interested.
