There is good injury news for Manchester United over two players as the club step up preparations for this Saturday’s Premier League clash with Brentford.

After a terrific FA Cup quarter-final win over Liverpool, Manchester United are left trying to recapture the momentum after the international break.

United visit Brentford on Saturday for a 8pm kick-off, the first of three matches in an eight-day span, with games against Chelsea and Liverpool to follow.

Erik ten Hag welcomed a group of his first team players back to Carrington on Thursday, keen to get back to business. There was some good news too.

Double injury boost for Omari Forson and Marcus Rashford

Young winger Omari Forson is available again after suffering an injury prior to the international break.

Forson was spotted (above) with Finley McAllister, Sonny Aljofree and Willy Kambwala, with a number of youngsters mixing in with the session.

The winger was handed his debut earlier in 2024 and he started in the Premier League game against Fulham. He provided the assist for Kobbie Mainoo‘s late winner at Wolves.

Forson was an unused substitute for the Liverpool game, with Ten Hag explaining he had ‘dropped out’ of a training session ahead of the game with an injury. Now he is back in full training again.

Amad is suspended for the Brentford game, which could place Forson a step closer to seeing action.

Forward Marcus Rashford was also pictured in training, which is good news after it was revealed he had been carrying a knock.

Rashford did not play a single minute of England’s draw with Belgium, despite several changes being made to the side.

It looks like he is set to be available for United this weekend and the rest may have done him good. He has scored in his last three consecutive club games.

Status of Lisandro Martinez, Casemiro and Harry Maguire unclear

Erik ten Hag will shed more light on the injury situation in his pre-match press conference.

There are a number of players with question marks hanging over them, in addition to ruled out left-back pair Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Casemiro, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez and Jonny Evans were not pictured in training. They may have been doing individual work or resting as precaution. More will become clear shortly.

Maguire left the England squad early after suffering an injury on international duty for England, the extent of which is yet unclear.

Mason Mount, notably, was involved in training and will be considered for selection.
