Man Utd set to miss out signing of 30-year-old Serie A star

Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has said that he would not be interested in securing the services of Manchester United.

The 20-times English champions are believed to have a long-standing interest in the 30-year-old defender, who continues to be rumoured with a move away from his Italian giants.

However, when questioned on a potential exit from Naples, Senegalese international defender has revealed that he would only depart from the club if  Barcelona, Man City and Real Madrid made an offer.

“If I decided to leave Napoli, I would only do it for two, maximum three clubs in the world. I’m talking about [Pep] Guardiola’s Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona at the most,” Koulibaly told Arena Napoli.

The Senegal international has again been one of the key players for Napoli during the 2021-22 season, playing 13 games in all competitions, founding back of the net twice and one assist in the process.

Barcelona could struggle to afford Kalidou Koulibaly following to their financial problems, however, the Los Blancos are believed to be keen to bring a new defender to the club in 2022, having lost both Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos over the summer.
