He said on BT Sport: “[I was] Just asking about individual players. “You want to find out how good is he, is he worth the money, they’re the questions we ask. And both positive outcomes.” After being asked if he could give any insight into the chat, he then said: “Can’t give you anymore. Private conversations, got to keep certain things away.” Premier League icons Gianfranco Zola and Joe Cole added their analysis ahead of the game, with Cole mentioning how “excited” he was to see Joao Felix in action. Ferdinand then hopped back into the conversation, revealing: “Funny enough that’s the player I asked [about] straight away. “He’s the one I wanted to know about, how good is he? “And it was a glowing report, even from a few players raising their eyebrows at times about some of the stuff he does [in training]. However, despite Chelsea dominance, West Ham found an equaliser after former Blues star Emerson ghosted in at the back post unopposed to put Jarrod Bowen’s flick-on into the net.
