Man Utd have made Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi a “high priority target” for the summer transfer window, according to reports. TEAMtalk claim that the German international has made it known that he prefers a move to England if he does leave Dortmund at the end of the season. That has caught the attention of the Red Devils, as well as Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool. Out of the two, the Blues are deemed the biggest threat, as they have reportedly made contact with Adeyemi’s representatives. Liverpool, meanwhile, are just monitoring his situation. How much would Adeyemi cost? Dortmund are open to selling the 24-year-old as he is closing in on the final year of his contract. However, the Bundesliga side are still demanding a large sum for the player. A price tag between €60m (£52m) and €70m (£61m) has been slapped on Adeyemi, and it remains to be seen whether United would be tempted to table a bid for that much, considering he could technically sign a pre-contract agreement in January. You would have to think that the German’s valuation would go down the closer we get to deadline day in August. There is believed to be interest in Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, as well as Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye. However, any deals for forwards may have to take a backseat until the Red Devils strengthen their midfield, which is seen as the top priority. The sale of Joshua Zirkzee, along with Marcus Rashford’s departure on a permanent basis, would help raise the funds required to sign a player like Adeyemi. Want more news on Man Utd?
