Man Utd fans have ‘never seen a player want a move so badly’ as wonderkid ‘flirts’ with Bruno Fernandes, Romano gives troubling update

Manchester United are going to be active in the summer transfer market, with several names already on their shortlist.

Fabrizio Romano states that the Red Devils are in the market for at least four positions, which include a centre-back, a defensive midfielder, a left-back and a striker.

There have been many candidates speculated for each, but there are a few slowly emerging as front-runners hand-picked by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos.

The defensive midfield slot is arguably one of the most important, with Casemiro looking set to depart – United need a young, hungry reinforcement.

There may be none better than Joao Neves. The Benfica wonderkid has taken the Portuguese first division by storm throughout the season, which has caused some of Europe’s top teams, including the Red Devils, to take note.

Manchester United fans already have theories that he is more than keen on a move to Old Trafford.

Manchester United fans have Joao Neves theory after Bruno Fernandes video emerges

A video has emerged of Neves and Manchester United’s captain Bruno Fernandes, who is of course on the same international side as the 19-year-old, heading to Euro 2024 with Portugal.

The clip depicts Neves casually kicking a ball into a basketball net, and then heading straight over to Fernandes to gloat in his face and imitating his celebration. Manchester United fans reacted to this.

One said: ‘João Neves is screaming for that united transfer. His & Bruno’s relationship is so good too.’

Another adds: ‘If Joao Neves goes anywhere other than United, this one will hurt more than any other transfer ever maybe.’

João Neves what are you doing? He made a 29year old Bruno Fernandes shy.😂😭

Others notice the special bond the pair have, which they’re hopeful will link up at Old Trafford.

‘It’s not about the United move. Joao Neves looks up to Bruno as a big brother and is constantly looking to impress him. It’s very endearing and would be amazing if he joins and Bruno continues to remain at United. Bruno is a great role model for young Portuguese players,’ someone says.

Another puts: ‘Nahhhhh Bruno is his idol, we may have to spend the whole budget on him idc.’

‘You can tell Joao looks up to Bruno. The kid loves him,’ another states.

‘Look at him flirting! He wants United so bad,’ another reckons.

Others believe Bruno is hard at work trying to convince the kid to come to the Red Devils.

One puts: ‘Agent Bruno should work his magic with Neves…we need him in our midfield.’

A final states: ‘Shouldn’t we just make Bruno our DOF?’

Fabrizio Romano says PSG are now interested in Neves

Some news that may unsettle the Red Devils supporters is that PSG now have ‘concrete interest’ in the youngster, joining United and Arsenal in the race for his signature.

🌟🇵🇹 Paris Saint-Germain are showing concrete interest in João Neves, one of the players high on the shortlist – not the only option.

PSG like him, as @FabriceHawkins reported; Arsenal and Man United monitored him for months.

The problem here is that PSG has the money to spend big on Neves, whereas it’s looking likely that Manchester United will try to lure him for less than his £103m release clause.

The Neves saga isn’t going anywhere at the moment for United. Stay tuned at United in Focus for all the latest news and updates on the Portuguese talent.
