Man Utd Eye Move For Ex-Chelsea Forward Who Has Scored 42 Goals And Provided 26 Assists Since Leaving England

BACK Man Utd have identified AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic as a potential transfer target, according to reports in the Italian media. Calciomercato.com claim that the former Chelsea player could well be the subject of an approach from the Red Devils this summer. Pulisic is closing in on the final year of his contract at the San Siro, although Milan do have an option to extend his stay for another twelve months. However, it is believed that the Rossoneri are open to offers for the American international as they need to make a big sale before the end of the accounting year on June 30th. Pulisic is one of those who has been made available, despite having scored 42 goals and contributed 26 assists in 132 appearances since moving to Italy three years ago. Man Utd want to strengthen the left flank The left wing is one of three positions that Director of Football Jason Wilcox wants to reinforce, along with central midfield and left-back. Pulisic’s teammate, Rafael Leao, is another player who is on United’s shortlist, along with the likes of RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye and Lyon’s Afonso Moreira. Pulisic would be one of the cheapest options Due to the 27-year-old’s contract situation and Milan’s willingness to sell, it is unlikely that the forward will be on the market for a high transfer fee at the end of the season. Leao’s price tag, in contrast, is said to be in the £50m to £60m range, while Leipzig are set to demand around €100m (£87m) for Diomande. Signing a lower-cost winger would consequently help free up funds to buy one or more midfielders, as well as bring in much-needed competition for Luke Shaw at left-back. Want more news on Man Utd?
