Manchester United cult hero Andrei Kanchelskis has revealed one thing that former manager Sir Alex Ferguson “loves” and wants to bring it to him as a present.

Andrei Kanchelskis arrived at Old Trafford in 1991 after Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson landed him in a deal worth £650,000 from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The 55-year-old former United star became a fan favourite during his time at the Premier League club and enjoyed silverware success at Old Trafford.

Kanchelskis lifted two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and a League Cup with the Red Devils, with the former United winger making 158 appearances for the club.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk and Rangers player left United in 1995 after his falling out with Ferguson and went on to emulate his cult hero status at Everton.

Kanchelskis was an important squad player for Ferguson during the 1990s, with the former Russia international still holding a strong admiration for the Scotsman.

Kanchelskis reveals what Ferguson loves

Sir Alex Ferguson, who is widely considered one of the best managers of all time, marked the end of his legendary coaching career at Manchester United in 2013.

The 82-year-old Scotsman has remained an ever-present figure at Old Trafford after his retirement, with Ferguson often spotted in the stands during United matches.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Andrei Kanchelskis admitted that he still holds an affinity with United and Ferguson, having since made amends with the ex-Red Devils boss.

The United and Everton cult hero is hopeful of visiting Old Trafford in the future and crossing paths with Ferguson, wanting to bring him a present for the Scot.

According to Kanchelskis, legendary former United manager Ferguson is a big fan of black caviar and he “loves it.”

“I love Manchester United,” he said. “In my heart, it’s still the best club in Europe.

“Maybe I will come to the new Everton stadium in August, it depends on my future.

“Of course, I will go to Old Trafford and visit Sir Alex. I will bring him a present of black caviar, because he loves it.”

Kanchelskis’ hilarious exchange with Ferguson

Kanchelskis recalled his time at United under Ferguson and how his former club teammates set him up for a hilarious – and brutal – prank.

The former United and Everton star claimed that Ferguson went “red-faced” after he dropped an X-rated response to him, with his former teammates left in stitches.

“Good morning, Andrei, how’s it going?” Ferguson asked.

“F**k off, you Scottish b*****d!” Kanchelskis responded.

Kanchelskis added: “We used to do the same to the Brazilians when they came to Moscow.

“Teach them to tell policemen to f**k off.

“I said this bad thing to Sir Alex Ferguson. He was red-faced and said ‘What?’ Then he understood what had happened and everybody laughed.

“George Scanlan was the interpreter for me and Eric Cantona because he spoke Russian and French.

“He said: ‘Andrei, next time don’t say this.’ Of course, I never did it again after that.

“This a true story, a funny story. This is life.”
