Man United ‘will resume’ contract talks with starlet soon, negotiations ongoing ‘for months’: report

Alejandro Garnacho contract talks are going to continue into the early part of 2023.

Manchester United Football Club are moving in a positive direction under Erik ten Hag – and it has been superb to watch so far.

The Dutch manager is building a squad that fits his image perfectly, while no longer letting the huge egos take over the dressing room – as we saw on full display yesterday when Marcus Rashford was dropped for being late to a team meeting.

In his place, Alejandro Garnacho was handed a start – his second Premier League start since breaking into the first-team mix. The Argentine too has been subject of Ten Hag’s strict ways, with his attitude coming into question earlier in the season.

It’s become common knowledge that United are trying to tie Garnacho down to new terms, presumably on bigger wages in order to protect their asset.

The latest information in that regard comes from Fabrizio Romano, who claims that United ‘will resume’ talks with the starlet soon.

Apparently, negotiations have been ‘ongoing for months’, with United wanting Garnacho to be happy with the length and financial portion of any new contract.

At the end of the day, it’s about trying to keep your players happy. Garnacho is someone who could potentially have a huge future at this club – so let’s ensure he’s settled here in Manchester, in order to want to make him stick around.

I, sadly, believe that Garnacho’s heart probably lies away from the English Premier League at some point, though if United can get another half-decade of service out of the Argentine, before selling him for a huge fee, that’d represent some good business all-round.

Hopefully, this deal is announced early into 2023.
