Talented attacker, Omari Forson, is set to seal a Man United exit this summer.

Manchester United have always excelled when giving young players their opportunities at the highest level. It’s something this club should do more of, rather than splashing the cash on marquee players who, more often than not, fail to live up to the hype.

I fully expect INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe to help out in this regard, while money being tight could push the Red Devils further into the direction of youth. It could be a blessing in disguise.

One man who has been on the fringes of things this season is Omari Forson. I personally expected to see a heavy dose of the winger this summer during pre-season tour, though that will not be the case.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the top United talent is all set to leave the club on a free transfer this month, despite making his first-team debut in February. There are already ‘several clubs’ keen on signing the forward, which makes sense given his immense talent.

It was reported that Forson faced an uncertain future at the club months ago, due to the refusal to sign a contract. That was down to a lack of first-team minutes given and although he made his debut, it seems as though the player has not been satisfied. Hence, he wants to move somewhere else to prove his worth.

Fair play to the young man, if that’s what he wants then the club aren’t going to overpay to keep him. Particularly as United look to start curbing back spending due to FFP/Profit and Sustainability rules that they now have to keep in line with.

Although it’s disappointing to see Forson take this decision and it is sad to see him depart, I genuinely wish him all the best.
