Man United star dealt injury blow, hasn’t joined up with international squad following injury

Luke Shaw will not be playing for his country over the upcoming international break.

Man United’s weekend was a forgettable one. The side were well-beaten by Manchester City on the day. Realistically, the 2-0 scoreline flattered us…

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job is now hanging on by a thread, with the Baby Faced Assassin left to sweat over the next fortnight.

If the Norwegian wasn’t already having trouble sleeping, the latest injury news coming out of the England camp definitely won’t help his case…

England have confirmed that the United star has been dealt an injury blow – which will rule him out of the Three Lions’ upcoming games by all accounts…

Shaw has actually entered the concussion protocol, following a head clash he was involved in during the aforementioned Manchester derby.

The full-back was down for a fair while but tried to play on. Then, he’d have to go down once again, leading to the ex-Southampton man being substituted.

Understandably, both club and country are trying to approach this one with caution. Head injuries aren’t to be messed with whatsoever, they’re considered super serious in this day and age so we need to give Shaw all the time he needs.

I’d like to think that if he’s allowed the fortnight off, he should be good to go against Watford on November 20th. The question is, does Shaw’s form warrant a spot in the side?

If Solskjaer is still in charge for that game, I’d be seriously considering switching up the team pretty significantly. Shaw’s recent performances would put his place in the team in serious jeopardy.

That said, I hope Shaw gets well soon and he’s back out on the grass in a timely manner.

Is Luke Shaw good enough to start in a title-winning Man United side? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
