Man United had keen on-lookers watching Torino right-back, Raoul Bellanova, in action recently.

Manchester United Football Club are in for a huge summer transfer window. The Red Devils need new faces in multiple positions. It’ll be intriguing to see what sort of budget the manager has to work with, as INEOS are now in charge of footballing operations.

Right-back has recently emerged as a possible position of need. Diogo Dalot is playing well. It can be argued he’s playing his best football as a Red Devil right now. However, he needs help. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is currently out injured, though cast your mind back to Erik ten Hag’s hiring, he wasn’t sold on the Englishman initially.

Now, according to Tuttosport, United have eyes on Torino’s Raoul Bellanova as a possible replacement for Wan-Bissaka.

According to their claim, United have sent an ‘observer’ to watch the 23-year-old right-back in action, as the club look to find a player to ‘pair’ with Dalot.

It’s stated that Wan-Bissaka is ‘on the way out’, with United looking to replace him with a player who is more in line with the club’s style of play.

Before this season, Bellanova had bounced around on loan for four years, though he seems to have found a home in Torino. He has played 25 games across all competitions for the Serie A club, scoring once and defending well.

It’s stated United have ‘taken notes’ on Bellanova, while the feeling is that scouts will return to watch the Italian in action in the coming weeks.

For now, Bellanova is firmly focused on helping Torino earn European football for next season, while also looking to win himself a place in the Italy squad for the upcoming European Championships.

Do you think Raoul Bellanova would be an upgrade for Man United in the right-back position? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
