Man United have been offered the chance to bolster their midfield, by signing free agent Yusuf Yazici.
Manchester United have signed one true midfielder in the form of Manuel Ugarte this summer, though with the club losing both Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek and Hannibal, the Red Devils could look to further strengthen in that area if the opportunity arises.
Although the transfer window is now shut, the possibility of signing players who are free agents does remain, which is the case for Yusuf Yazici, who left Lille three months ago.
The Turk featured over 40 times for the Ligue 1 club last term, though HITC have provided the the latest update on the future of Yazici.
Their reporter, Graeme Bailey, states that United have been offered the chance to sign the 27-year-old free agent midfielder this summer, among a whole host of other clubs. Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Aston Villa all have the opportunity to sign Yazici, too.
Apparently, the midfielder is looking for a fresh start following the end of his contract in France, with the player attracting ‘plenty of interest’ from clubs who are looking to bolster their midfield – though he is yet to commit to a new home.
Galatasaray are leading the chase, with a move back to his home country no doubt appealing for the man who has 45 caps for Turkey.
Any deal for United to sign Yazici looks though as HITC state that Christian Eriksen would have to be moved out of the door first, though any deal that would see the Dane leave now looks highly unlikely.
I’d personally love to see United add some more quality to the midfield, though I’d be genuinely surprised if this move happens as the Reds would have to act quickly and there are a lot of moving parts involved.
