Man United could look to make a move to sign Antonee Robinson from Fulham if they can raise the required funds in January.

The summer transfer window is now over, with Manchester United making a handful of signings that should help move this club back in the right direction.

However, there is still much work to do for INEOS. Sir Jim Ratcliffe himself has said this is going to take time. We have to remain patient and back the board to do their job.

Planning for the January window is already underway and if the latest report from The Sun on Sunday is accurate, a move to sign Fulham’s Antonee Robinson could be a mid-season possibility.

According to their information, United are ‘lining up’ a possible January move to sign the left-back, as they look to find Luke Shaw’s long-term replacement.

Any deal is dependent on United finding the money to bring in the 27-year-old.

The Red Devils are fans of Robinson’s ‘ability and athleticism’, while Fulham believe £30m is an adequate fee for his signature.

Fulham will not stand in his way if he wants to move on, though they would prefer to keep ahold of Robinson if they can. He has spent the last four years at Craven Cottage.

It’s not surprising to see United linked with a move to sign a new left-back, particularly after the injury struggles in that area of the field. I’m a Diogo Dalot fan but he’s far better in that right-back position. You certainly need a specialist, particularly in games against the elite sides.

Robinson is someone who has impressed recently, catching the eye of many top tier teams, United included. This could be an astute piece of business, though I struggle to see where United will raise £30m from…
