Man United are likely to push for the signature of Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos in the summer of 2023. The Red Devils want to sign a new shot-stopper and would love to have the 28-year-old goalkeeper at Man United. The Red Devils, under the Dutch manager, look like a completely different team. They have been doing great in the ongoing campaign. But, there are a few major issues that he would like to address in the summer. The shot-stopper’s position is something that he would want to bolster. While Man United do have David de Gea as their number one, Erik ten Hag would still prefer having someone who can challenge the Spanish shot-stopper for a spot in the XI. David de Gea has not been the same for the past few years. He still is one of the best goalkeepers but tends to make quite a few errors. Erik ten Hag has a vision in mind where wants to win big titles with Man United. And, for that to happen he needs to bring in a lot of players and set a benchmark. The Dutchman believes that the German-born goalkeeper Vlachodimos can be a perfect fit for the club. Greece international recently signed a contract extension with Benfica until 2027. So, it will be difficult to get his signature. But, given the stature of Man United, they can surely afford to pay a few extra million to acquire a player who is admired by their coach.
