Leicester City star Youri Tielemans is ‘keeping his options open’ with Liverpool and Man United among the teams monitoring the midfielder. Leicester City are keen to tie Belgium international down to a new contract with his current deal ready to expire in 2023.
While a new offer has reportedly been made, Youri is in no rush to commit his future to the Foxes. During the summer transfer window, the ex-Monaco midfielder was strongly linked with the Reds as a possible replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.
Man United have also been credited with keen interest, with the Belgian midfielder tipped as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba should the Frenchman not sign a new deal at Man United. The 24-year-old midfielder suggested he could leave Leicester City if the right offer comes in, but insists no decision has been made yet.
‘There’s no update really. I’m open to everything,’ Youri said. ‘The transfer market has just closed, but I want to keep as many options as I can open. As long as I’m here I will give everything for the club. I’ve already done so, but I will do so even more. The contract situation is just something that is going on in football, it’s a normal situation.’
