Man United Interested In Leicester City star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are monitoring the progress of Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ahead of a busy summer transfer window.

The English ace has displayed strong numbers for the Foxes this season. He has racked up 10 goals and 13 assists in over 41 appearances for his parent club.

However, his current contract runs until 2027 and he could favour a move to an elite Premier League club if Leicester fail to get promoted to the Premier League.

In the current scenario, the Foxes are placed in second position in the Championship table and equal in points with first-placed Leeds United (with a game in hand).

However, they are fighting for the top two spots with third-placed Ipswitch Town just a point behind them. In case they miss out on the chance to move to the top flight, then Man United might be able to grab Dewsbury-Hall for just £25m.

The price tag may increase to £40m if the Blues make it back to the PL. Hence, Enzo Maresca’s side’s final position in the Championship will ultimately decide the fate of their star midfielder.

Brighton & Hove Albion could be Man United’s direct competitor in the race to sign Dewsbury-Hall

It won’t be too easy for United to secure a move since Brighton & Hove Albion are also very keen on signing Dewsbury-Hall. They had a bid turned down last summer and it won’t come as a surprise if they try to offer a new deal this summer.

The player’s experience in the Premier League and European competitions will come in handy for any top English clubs.

Man United needs midfield reinforcements since they can lose Christian Eriksen and Sofyan Amrabat in the upcoming months.

Erik ten Hag’s side are also linked with a move for Wolverhampton Wanderer’s Joao Gomes and Atalanta’s Teun Keepmeiners.

There are several options on the table and it remains to be seen which player the Red Devils target in the upcoming months.
