Jeremie Frimpong is likely to leave Bayer Leverkusen sometime next year. The Netherlands international is aware of the interest from Man United, who will soon initiate discussions to secure his services. The Red Devils have shown signs of recovery, and Dalot has been a major catalyst in the process. Diogo has had a life-changing campaign at Man United as he has emerged to be Erik ten Hag’s preferred choice on the right-hand side of the back line. Dalot has been ever-present in the starting lineup, pushing Wan-Bissaka towards the brink of his Man United exit. The Red Devils would not be looking to recoup the entirety of their investment but will at least try to recover some of the money paid to Crystal Palace. Frimpong has travelled to Qatar with the Netherlands team but is yet to be involved in any capacity on the pitch. However, his lack of minutes won’t be a concern as Jeremie has already impressed with his trickery on German soil. The 21-year-old defender has a deal till 2025 and won’t come cheap. But the fact that Bayer Leverkusen have already started looking for replacements should make it easy for Man United. The Dutch defender has already found the net on five occasions, while he has also laid one assist in 15 games in the Bundesliga. The Dutchman could prove to be a worthy understudy of Diogo Dalot who has taken his game a notch higher this campaign.
