Manchester United fans think Marcus Rashford could play a key role in their attempts to sign Jadon Sancho this summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are interested in a move for the Borussia Dortmund winger once the transfer market reopens with Sancho fitting the bill of everything the club want from a new signing.
United will have their work cut out as they try to lure Sancho to Old Trafford, but they might have a secret weapon… his England teammate Rashford.
Sancho turned 20 on Wednesday and was sent thousands of messages wishing him a special day. However, it was the birthday wish from close friend Rashford which really got fans excited.
Taking to Instagram the United forward posted a picture of himself alongside Sancho in an England training session, with the caption: “Happy birthday, bro!! Jadon Sancho. Enjoy your day, indoors!” along with a love heart emoji.
Rashford is not the only United player to have wished him a special day either, with Ange Gomes taking to his Instagram to wish a similar message to his ‘broski’ Sancho.
United fans were no doubt delighted by the obvious friendship between the English youngsters, with many convinced Rashford is working as a special agent to get Sancho to Old Trafford.
“Agent Rashford,” read the top comment on the post, while another fan added: “Agent Marcus on duty.” Another fan commented: “the transfer is getting closer.”
