Man United are not currently discussing a possible move for Stade Rennais star Eduardo Camavinga. France international is one of the most talented midfielders anywhere on the planet. It ought to come as no surprise that he’s also been one of the most spoken about footballers in the 2021 transfer window to date.
France international has less than 12 months left to run on his Stade Rennais deal, a precarious situation that has done little to dampen speculation that he could depart this summer.
The Red Devils are one club that have been linked with making a move for Camavinga. Man United have had a busy window to date and are in obvious need of an upgrade in the middle of the park. The Red Devils are not currently in the picture when it comes to determining Eduardo’s next move.
The Red Devils do not have the necessary funds to add Eduardo, with Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane already having been brought in with an outlay understood to be in excess of £100m. The Red Devils will need to raise cash through footballer sales before any move to add a new midfielder can be considered.
The 18-year-old midfielder’s preferred destination would be Real Madrid. It stays to be seen whether La Liga giants would be willing and able to stump up the cash to get a deal done.
