Man United may not have to contend with Evan Ferguson when they host Brighton in their next game.

Manchester United’s injury struggles have been well documented this season. Erik ten Hag has suffered major treatment table woes, with the problems showing no signs of letting up.

The Reds were almost into double figures of unavailable first-teamers, though let’s hope the international break allows at least one or two of these players to get fit and return.

After the international break, the tough games keep coming. Next up, Brighton at Old Trafford. Our opponents may now be without a key player themselves, in the form of Evan Ferguson.

United could be given a much-needed boost, with the key Brighton man said to be ‘in a race to be fit’ for the Reds game. That’s according to the Manchester Evening News.

The teenage striker, who has been linked with a United move in the past, has already been ruled out of the Republic of Ireland’s two games during this international break.

For Premier League fans, you’ll know that Ferguson scored a hat-trick in his most recent game. The teenager is brimming with confidence right now and no doubt he was relishing the opportunity to test his skills against the club he supposedly supports.

Is it bad that I’d be super relieved if he’s out? United are struggling right now and they need all the help they can get. I’d much rather see Ferguson absent for this one as he’d give our back line a super tough time.

It’s also worth noting that Ferguson is yet to be officially ruled out, though it does appear to be trending that direction in our opinion. Knowing our luck, he’ll start and have a field day against Jonny Evans and Harry Maguire…
