Man United boosted by training return of two first-teamers ahead of Sheffield United game this weekend

Man United have been boosted by the training return of two first-teamers ahead of the Sheffield United game this weekend.

Manchester United Football Club picked up a spectacularly late win in their last Premier League game at home to Brentford, with the Red Devils now hoping to carry that forward momentum with them here.

A trip to Sheffield United on Saturday night will not be easy, as Erik ten Hag looks to name a team capable of winning all three points as the club look to start to string some wins together.

Ahead of that game, we were dealt some pretty disappointing Casemiro injury news, with the man from Brazil set to miss this one.

However, there was better updates from the official club website, who state that a pair of first-teamers have returned to training ahead of the game against The Blades. They state that both Sergio Reguilon and Sofyan Amrabat are back in training and seemingly in line to play.

Reguilon had been missing with a minor injury before the international break, which led Amrabat to playing at left-back. The man from Morocco picked up an issue while away with his country, though that issue seemingly isn’t too severe.

With the squad looking thin on the ground in both of their respective positions, it’s important to hear that they’re both fit and ready to play. Amrabat will be slotting into Casemiro’s defensive-midfield position and it’ll be intriguing to see how he gets on. Reguilon remain the only fit, senior left-back at the club and he’s looked good to start his Reds career.

Hopefully, both are feeling fit enough to give Ten Hag a full 90 minutes as that’s exactly what is going to be required.

Do you think we’ll see both Sofyan Amrabat and Sergio Reguilon start this one? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
