Man United are apparently tracking Russian youngster, Sergey Pinyaev.

For me, Manchester United always perform at their best when they place a concerted effort on youth. It’s in the DNA of the Old Trafford club.

Erik ten Hag has been more than willing to do his best to continue with that mantra. Just ask Alejandro Garnacho – an academy graduate who is now thriving at the highest level. You absolutely love to see it.

It’s why whenever United are linked with moves to sign players I’ve never heard of, I tend to be more excited by that. The latest information from the Manchester Evening News certainly falls into that bracket.

They claim United are eyeing a move to sign Sergey Pinyaev.

Who is that, you may ask? Well, let’s take a look…

According to the MEN, United are ‘tracking’ the winger, 18, who currently plies his trade for Russian side, KS Samara.

Born in 2004, Pinyaev is considered one of Russia’s most ‘exciting’ youth prospects. He became Russia’s youngest ever debutant just last month.

The left winger has contributed four goals and four assists in fifteen appearances for KS Samara, as his personal stock continues to rise.

The MEN understands that United are ‘following Pinyaev’s progress’ and he actually had trials at the club prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although still young, this falls in line with how United operate best. Pinyaev, a left-winger, will need time to develop and fully hone his skills. Where better to do that than at Manchester United?

With these deals, the longer you leave it, the more chance there are going to be other parties interested in completing the deal. The eventual transfer price is also bumped up as time goes on.

Do you think a Man United move for Sergey Pinyaev makes sense? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
