Maguire and Onana were shaky but this United star needs dropping after disasterclass vs. Everton

Manchester United came from behind to earn a valuable point in a 2-2 draw against Everton. Here are our player ratings from the game.

(A score of 6 is around average)

Andre Onana 2 – Not good enough for both goals conceded. Barely moved for the first and just stood there as it flew past him. Extremely poor parry for the second one, into the path of Abdoulaye Doucouré, who made no mistake from close range. Seems to be making costly mistakes game after game.

Noussair Mazraoui 4 – Overwhelmed down the right. Simply not good enough today.

Harry Maguire 2 – Dreadful performance. Awful for the second goal and also lost an in-form Beto for the first. The Everton talisman had his number all match.

Matthijs de Ligt 3 – Defensively all over the place. Poor when attempting to pass out from the back.

Diogo Dalot 1 – Pathetic display. Awful under pressure and failed to clear his lines so many times, one of which led to Everton breaking the deadlock. Not up to the standard and needs to be dropped.

Manuel Ugarte 6 – Fantastic finish to restore parity at Goodison Park. Not a good display overall.

Casemiro 2 – Couldn’t keep up with the pace of the game. Every time he got on the ball, he invited a wave of Everton pressure. Easily dispossessed and showed again why he rarely starts when everyone is fit.

Patrick Dorgu 6 – One of the very few bright sparks for United, especially in the first half. Made a number of intelligent runs and looked to deliver crosses into the box. Also strong defensively.

Bruno Fernandes 7 – Excellent free-kick to cut down Everton’s lead and give the team some much-needed confidence. Even when United were under the cosh, he was trying to make things happen.

Joshua Zirkzee 3 – A nothing performance. Too slow and struggled with the Toffees’ physicality. No threat at all.

Rasmus Hojlund 2 – Hopeless again. Couldn’t make the ball stick, dominated and bullied by Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski.

Substitutes

Alejandro Garnacho 5 – Made a little bit of a difference. Helped United get high up the pitch, especially in the dying embers of the match.

Chido Obi 5  – Didn’t see much of the ball.

Leny Yoro 5 – Just steady when he came on. Slightly better than Mazraoui.
