Luke Littler names his dream Manchester United signing, Erik ten Hag wants it to become a reality this month

Manchester United are expecting a busy end to the summer transfer window and fans everywhere will have dream signings in mind.

The Premier League season is now drawing ever closer, but so is the transfer deadline.

Erik ten Hag will have his attention firmly split between the big kick-off against Fulham and potential additions to his Manchester United squad.

Ten Hag has received two new faces so far this summer with Joshua Zirkzee arriving from Bologna and wonderkid Leny Yoro joining from Lille.

United fans are yet to see Zirkzee in action though after his Euro 2024 exploits and Yoro is already injured for three months.

United still have business to do and the hope is that Ten Hag will have a few more new signings to welcome in soon.

United fans everywhere will have some hopes and dreams for the final weeks of the transfer window.

Some may want another midfielder or two, maybe a full back to bolster Ten Hag’s options.

Darts sensation Luke Littler has now shared his ideal signing for United as the deadline looms ever closer.

Littler – a lifelong United fan – has previously admitted wanting to see Napoli hitman Victor Osimhen arrive at Old Trafford.

Littler has gone for a signing at the other end of the pitch this time though.

LiveScore have asked Little for one transfer he wants to see happen and he has gone with the arrival of Matthijs de Ligt.

Littler wants De Ligt to finally secure his move to United after weeks of speculation.

Despite the signing of Yoro and the presence of defenders such as Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire, Littler wants United to spend on De Ligt and really boost the centre back options.

Erik ten Hag wants De Ligt

Littler may well get his wish as United continue attempts to sign De Ligt this summer.

Boss Ten Hag wants to reunite with De Ligt having previously coached him during their time together at Ajax.

The centre back has stumbled a little with Juventus and now Bayern Munich, so a reunion could work for all parties.

United failed with a bid for De Ligt in June as Bayern snubbed an offer worth around £29.5million – some way short of their £42million asking price.

United have also tried a double deal for De Ligt and teammate Noussair Mazraoui, but Bayern have said no.

Bayern ideally need to sell De Ligt in order to sign Jonathan Tah, so United are likely to keep trying.

It may take a little bit of patience, but De Ligt may well end the month as a United player – and leave both Littler and Ten Hag delighted.
