It’s All Kicking Off podcast By Abdi Rashid Published: 10:15 GMT, 22 March 2024 | Updated: 11:21 GMT, 22 March 2024 Liverpool, Chelsea and Man United are reportedly all paying close attention to Benfica midfielder Joao Neves, but face stiff competition from Bayern Munich and PSG.The 19-year-old has become hot property after establishing himself as a mainstay in Roger Schmidt’s side this season.He has made 45 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese champions, with four international caps to his name.  A host of top club in the Premier League including Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are keen to sign Neves this summer according to Portuguese outlet Ojogo. The holding midfielder is also attracting interest elsewhere in Europe, with PSG sporting director Luis Campos said to be convinced by his quality.  Liverpool, Chelsea and Man United are reportedly all paying close attention to Joao Neves Bayern Munich are also eyeing Neves – who has a €120million buy-out clause, worth £103m – as they seek to strengthen their midfield this summer. A product of Benfica’s academy, Neves has made 65 senior appearances for the club since making his debut in December 2022.He was recently asked whether he will stay at Benfica but wasn’t able to give a direct answer. ‘I promise to do my best in every training session, in every game, and I think that is one of my greatest qualities,’ Neves said speaking last month. ‘I’m focused on Benfica and even more so on [Thursday’s] game, which is the next one. I think I will do my best in every game and in every training session.’  The Premier League clubs face stiff competition from PSG and Bayern Munich for NevesNeves would become the latest Benfica player to move for a big fee after Enzo Fernandez’s £107m switch to Chelsea in January 2023.   He came off the bench in the second-half as Portugal beat Sweden 5-2 in a friendly on Thursday night.
